I hate a messy taskbar. When my taskbar gets so full that the width of the buttons begins to shrink, it is time to start closing applications. There are some applications, however, that I don’t want to close because I know I’ll need to re-open them again in a few minutes.
I found Tray It! today. It will minimize applications into the System Tray by control-clicking its minimize button in the title bar (along with various other features).
